Japanese used vehicles are known best for their build quality, reliability, and long service life. They can also offer good value for buyers who want a dependable vehicle without paying the price of a new one.

Open the vehicle listing to see its photos and specifications. Depending on the vehicle, you'll find details such as mileage, grade, model code, chassis number, engine size, steering, transmission, fuel type, drive type, color, seats, and other features.

If a detail you need isn't shown, send us your requirement; our sales team will help you check it.

Check the Steering field in the vehicle's specifications. RHD means right-hand drive, while LHD means left-hand drive. If the steering information shows Not Set, -, or isn't listed, confirm it with our team before ordering the vehicle.

An English manual isn't guaranteed. Since most of our used vehicles were previously owned in Japan, any original manual supplied with the vehicle is usually in Japanese.

Spare keys also depend on the individual vehicle. If no spare key is supplied, you can have a copy made from the original key after receiving the vehicle.

Check the vehicle page for its current status. SAT Japan listings can show whether a vehicle is available to Buy Now, available to Reserve, already Reserved, or no longer available.

Stock can change as vehicles are bought or reserved, so use the vehicle's Stock ID when contacting our team if you want to confirm availability before placing your orde

Yes. If you can't find the vehicle you want in our current stock, send us your requirements and our team will help you find a suitable option.

You can also narrow down the available stock using SAT Japan's filters for make, model, price, engine size, fuel type, year, mileage, body type, seats, color, inventory location, and vehicle features. You can even filter between Used and Auction vehicles to find an option that matches your needs faster.

In our listing, you will see two prices: one is the car price, and the other is the total price. The Car Price is the cost of the vehicle itself, while the Total Price includes vehicle cost, insurance, and freight. Import duties, taxes, customs clearance, port charges, and local delivery are separate.

Note: The total price can vary depending on the country and port you are shipping to.

Free on Board (FOB) covers the vehicle up to the point it is loaded for export in Japan. With Cost & Freight (C&F), freight to your destination port is included, but insurance is not. Cost, Insurance & Freight (CIF) includes the vehicle cost, freight, and insurance to the named destination port.

Choose FOB if you want to arrange your own freight and insurance, C&F if you want SAT Japan to handle freight but not insurance, and CIF if you prefer freight and insurance to be included.

No. The Total Price includes the vehicle cost, insurance, and freight. Import duties, local taxes, customs clearance, port charges, and local delivery are separate. SAT Japan does not charge a vehicle registration fee. Any registration-related costs required in your destination country would be handled locally.

It depends on the import rules of your destination country. Some countries require a pre-shipment inspection or inspection certificate before a used vehicle can be imported, while others don't. Check the requirements for your destination before ordering, or ask our team to confirm whether an inspection is required and which inspection agency applies.

Yes, you can ask our team if a better price is available for the vehicle you're interested in, but a discount isn't guaranteed. Send us the vehicle's Stock ID, and our customer support team can check whether the price can be negotiated. SAT Japan dealers may qualify for special discounted vehicle prices and price negotiation benefits.

Yes. SAT Japan offers car financing and installment plans for up to 24 months, making it easier to spread the cost of your vehicle over time. The exact financing terms can depend on your order and eligibility, so contact our team for the available plan and payment details.

Your invoice may be higher because the Car Price shown on the listing isn't always the final cost of your order. Freight, your destination port, shipping method, inspection, insurance, certificates, warranty, and other selected services can change the total amount.

Check the final invoice carefully before paying, as it shows the amount due under the terms of your order. Bank transfer charges and other transaction fees are your responsibility and are not included in the invoice.

SAT Japan can store your vehicle for 3 to 6 months. The storage fee is USD 100 or less. If you need storage for your vehicle, confirm the period with our team before shipment so the arrangement can be made properly.

SAT Auction is available to customers looking to buy vehicles through Japanese auctions, and you can use the service any day. Once you've found a vehicle, place your bid before the deadline shown on its detail page and pay the required advance deposit to take part in the auction.

Start by browsing the vehicles available through SAT Auction and choose the car you want. Place your bid before the deadline shown on the vehicle page, pay the required deposit, and if you win, pay the remaining amount and upload your payment proof through your dashboard. In case you lose, you will get SAT points through which you can get a discount on your next purchase or use them in the future auctions.

Standard customers pay an auction deposit equal to 10% of the bid amount, while registered dealers qualify for a 5% deposit. The deposit can be refunded or used for another bid, but any bank charges related to the refund are paid by the bidder.

If you don't win the auction, your bidding deposit is automatically added to your SAT Balance. You can use that balance for another purchase or request a withdrawal through your SAT Japan dashboard.

A Proforma Invoice is issued after you finalize a vehicle and shows the amount you need to pay, including the vehicle price, shipping charges, and applicable export-related fees. Once you proceed with the transaction, your purchase is governed by the invoice terms and SAT Japan's vehicle purchase agreement.

Yes. SAT Japan supports container shipping for customers buying vehicles in bulk, and it can be used to transport multiple vehicles. The final loading arrangement and shipping cost depend on the vehicles and destination, so confirm the container option with our team before booking.

Find the vehicle you want using SAT Japan's search, then select Buy Now or Reserve. Complete the required details and payment, track your order through the tracking page, and receive the vehicle at your agreed destination.

SAT Japan accepts payments through PayPal, Paygent, cryptocurrency via Triple-A, and bank transfer. Local bank payment options are also available in Zambia and Japan. In UK, only cash payment at our physical office is acceptable.

Choose the payment method available for your order and follow the details provided on your invoice or payment page.

Yes. SAT Japan accepts credit/debit card and PayPal payments, along with bank transfers. For PayPal, select your vehicle and use the Pay with PayPal option provided during the payment process.

SAT Japan accepts payments in US Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP), Euros (EUR), Japanese Yen (JPY), Australian Dollars (AUD), and Canadian Dollars (CAD).

Always make your payment in the currency shown on your invoice to avoid delays or payment mismatches.

Check the bank details on your invoice against SAT Japan's official Bank Information page before making a transfer. SAT's payment page also confirms that the correct bank account details are provided on the invoice issued to customers.

If anything looks different or suspicious, don't send the payment. Contact SAT Japan directly and verify the details first, especially if someone contacts you from an unknown number or asks you to use different bank information.

Yes. Anyone can make the payment on your behalf. Just make sure the payment can be matched to your order by providing the correct invoice or vehicle details with the payment proof.

A T/T copy, or Telegraphic Transfer Copy, is the payment record your bank gives you after you make a bank transfer. Send this document to SAT Japan as proof that you've started the payment.

If you paid by bank transfer, send your T/T copy within 48 hours of the invoice being issued. SAT Japan confirms your payment once the funds have cleared and reached our account.

If you've already sent your payment proof and still haven't received confirmation, contact our support team with your invoice number and T/T copy so we can check the payment.

The full amount shown on your invoice needs to be paid. SAT Japan's Terms and Conditions state that bank fees and other transaction costs are the customer's responsibility, so make sure these charges don't reduce the amount received by SAT.

If your payment arrives short, contact our team so you can confirm the remaining balance and complete the payment.

Payment must be completed before the vehicle is shipped. Make sure the full amount shown on your invoice is paid in time so the shipment can move forward without delay.

Start with the vehicle listing, photos, specifications, and any available inspection or auction information. SAT Japan's pre-export inspection can also check areas such as engine condition, odometer tampering, accident history, and the interior before export.

For auction vehicles, review the auction sheet as well because it can show mileage, grades, repairs, scratches, and other condition notes.

Accident-repaired vehicles can appear in Japanese auction stock. On auction sheets, grades such as R or RA are used to show that a vehicle has a repair or accident history, and the sheet can also include a damage diagram and inspector notes.

Always check the auction grade and condition report before bidding so you know the vehicle's history before buying.

An auction sheet is the condition report prepared when a vehicle is inspected at a Japanese auction. It can show the auction grade, mileage, interior condition, repair history, damage marks, and inspector comments.

If you're buying through SAT Auction, you can review the auction information before placing your bid. SAT Japan also provides auction sheet guidance and translation support where available.

SAT Japan offers a separate Non-Stolen Vehicle Verification Certificate service for customers who want to confirm a vehicle's status before purchase. You can request the check through SAT Japan's Non-Stolen Vehicle Verification page before completing your purchase.

SAT Japan has its own inspection experts who check vehicles before shipment. Our team handles the inspection process, so you don't need to choose an inspection agency yourself. The exact checks can depend on the vehicle and destination requirements.

The chassis or frame number is the vehicle's unique identity and is used to match the car with its auction records and documents. Checking it helps confirm that details such as the auction record, mileage, grade, and vehicle information belong to the same car. A mismatch or signs of tampering can cause problems during customs clearance or vehicle verification.

If a vehicle doesn't pass an inspection that is required for your destination, it may not receive the certificate needed to continue the import or registration process. The exact next step depends on the inspection agency and country rules, and any issue may need to be corrected before the vehicle can meet the required standard.

Once the inspection agency completes the inspection, SAT Japan provides a PDF inspection certificate where applicable. You can find the certificate through the vehicle tracking page.

With RoRo shipping, the vehicle is driven onto the vessel and driven off at the destination. With container shipping, the vehicle is loaded inside a container, which offers more protection but can cost more.

The method available to you depends on your vehicle, destination, route, and shipping options. SAT Japan can help you choose the suitable option for your shipment.

You can select from the available destination ports when placing your order. SAT Japan's Shipping Schedule also lets you check available sailings by departure port, arrival port, ship name, and date.

You don't need to provide any special information before shipping apart from your correct consignee details. Make sure the consignee's full name and other details are accurate before shipment to avoid document or clearance issues later.

Yes, after you book your vehicle, you can change the destination port in the 1st week. For more information, contact our team as early as possible so we can check whether it can still be made based on the booking and shipment status.

It's best to confirm the correct destination port before shipping starts, as incorrect shipping information can cause delays.

Vehicle delivery usually takes around 4 to 8 weeks, but the exact time depends on the shipping schedule and destination. Sailing dates, routes, weather, and port conditions can affect the final delivery time.

Use SAT Japan's Track Your Order page and enter your order number and email address to check your order status. The tracking service also lets you follow your vehicle's shipping progress.

Yes. ETD and ETA are estimated dates, so they may change after your order is booked under certain circumstances. Weather, changes in vessel routes, port conditions, or other unavoidable situations can affect the schedule.

For further details about your shipment, contact our sales team or check your tracking information and shipping schedule for the latest updates.

A vessel's schedule can move by a few days because of factors such as weather or changes in the ship's route. If this happens, the expected arrival date will also change. Keep checking your order and shipment details for the latest update.

Transshipment means your vehicle is moved from one vessel to another while traveling to its final destination.

It doesn't always cause a delay, but the arrival date can change if the connecting vessel or shipping route changes. SAT Japan notes that shipping schedules may change due to vessel routing and other unavoidable conditions.

SAT Japan’s Marine Insurance protects your vehicle during transit, including shipment damage, and provides claims support if something goes wrong during delivery. The service also includes shipment tracking and assistance with the documents needed for a claim.

Marine Insurance is not automatically included with every order. You have to choose it as a separate service by contacting our sales team.

You will receive the Commercial Invoice, Export Certificate, and Bill of Lading (B/L) for your vehicle and shipment. If your destination country requires a specific inspection, the relevant Inspection Certificate will also be provided.

The consignee is the person who will receive and become the owner of the vehicle at the destination. Your full name should match your passport or ID, and SAT Japan also requires your complete address without abbreviations and your phone number.

Check these details carefully. Even a small spelling error can require a B/L amendment and lead to extra time and fees.

A Notify Party is not compulsory when placing your order. If you don't have an agent or separate Notify Party, you can proceed using only the consignee's information.

Provide the address where you want SAT Japan to send your original shipping documents through DHL. Give the recipient's full name, complete address without abbreviations, and phone number so the courier can deliver the documents correctly.

Shipping documents are usually dispatched 10 to 15 days after the vehicle has been shipped. Once the documents are sent through DHL, we will share the tracking number so you can follow the delivery.

For vehicle clearance, a Surrender B/L is required where this release method applies. Contact our team before document dispatch if you need a Surrender B/L for your shipment.

Corrections to genuine mistakes may require a formal amendment, so contact SAT Japan immediately if you notice an error in your documents. However, SAT Japan will not alter or falsify vehicle information on the B/L or other documents, as changing official information unlawfully is not permitted.

This is why the consignee, vehicle, and shipping details should be checked carefully before the documents are finalized.

A Bill of Lading amendment can be requested before the original documents are dispatched. The amendment fee is usually around USD 100 to USD 200, depending on the change required.

Contact our team as soon as you notice an error so the amendment can be made before document dispatch.

SAT Japan sends shipping documents through DHL with tracking, so you can monitor the delivery throughout the process. If there is any delay or issue with the document shipment, contact our team so we can check the status with the courier and guide you on the next step.

Once your vehicle arrives, the next step is customs clearance. Your clearing agent will handle the required documents and customs procedures, and after clearance is complete, you can collect the vehicle or have it delivered to the agreed destination.

Make sure your documents are ready before the vessel arrives, as missing or incorrect paperwork can delay the release of your vehicle.

Import duties, taxes, and destination customs charges are normally paid by the buyer or importer, even when freight and insurance are included in the shipping price. The amount is set by the customs authority in your destination country and can vary based on factors such as the vehicle's value, engine size, age, and type.

Check your country's import rules before buying, as duty rates and calculation methods differ by market.

Yes. You can arrange your own clearing agent or ask SAT Japan for help with customs clearance. Our local agents can handle the required paperwork and customs procedures according to the rules of your destination country.

SAT Japan also has shipping and customs partners in countries including Bangladesh, Cameroon, Ghana, Malta, Mozambique, Nigeria, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania.

Yes. SAT Japan can help with customs clearance through our local agents and clearing partners in supported destinations. You can also use your own clearing agent if you prefer.

Local vehicle registration depends on the rules of your country. In some markets, SAT Japan or its local partners can assist with parts of the registration process, while the final registration is completed with the relevant local authority.

Damage covered under Marine Insurance is handled separately and depends on the insurance terms for the shipment.

SAT Japan Warranty covers engine problems, transmission faults, electrical issues, physical damage, breakage, and missing items found when your vehicle arrives. Normal wear items such as brake pads, tires, batteries, light bulbs, and wiper blades are not covered.

Any issue must be reported within 48 hours of collecting the vehicle at the port or receiving it at the agreed delivery point.

Contact SAT Japan within 2 days of receiving your vehicle. You will need clear photos of the issue, video evidence for mechanical faults, a written repair estimate from a professional workshop, a completed Damage Report, and a Port's Report from the destination port.

Do not start repairs before receiving SAT Japan's approval. Most complete claims are assessed within 5 business days.

All vehicle orders contribute to your SAT Japan loyalty progress, and Master Level 1 includes 50 SAT Points. Higher Master Levels unlock more benefits, while registered dealers earn double SAT Points on every purchase.

SAT Japan's Vehicle Storage Service gives you a safe, climate-controlled place to keep your vehicle if you want to delay shipment. The storage period starts from the date you place your order and ends when the vehicle is shipped.

The first 30 days are free, with storage charges applying thereafter based on storage duration and location.

An Auction Sheet is a vehicle condition report prepared for a car listed at a Japanese auction. It can show details such as the vehicle's grade, mileage, condition, accident or repair history, and other notes that can help you judge the car before bidding. SAT Japan also provides auction sheet guidance and translation support where available.

A Bill of Lading (B/L) is an official shipping document issued by the carrier or its agent after cargo is accepted for transport. It records the shipment and acts as a key document for receiving and clearing your vehicle at the destination.

Demurrage is a charge that can apply when cargo or a container stays at the port or terminal beyond the allowed free period. Clearing your vehicle and documents on time can help you avoid these extra port charges.

ETA means Estimated Time of Arrival, which is the expected date and time the vessel will reach the destination port. ETD means Estimated Time of Departure, which is when the vessel is expected to leave the departure port.

An Export Certificate, also called a De-registration Certificate, shows that the vehicle has been removed from registration in Japan for export. It is one of the main documents SAT Japan prepares for an exported vehicle and is commonly needed for customs clearance and registration at the destination.

Covered in pricing category

Free Time is the period during which your cargo or container can remain at the port or terminal without demurrage or related charges. Once that period ends, additional fees may begin, depending on the port and shipping line.

An HS Code, or Harmonized System Code, is a customs classification number used to identify goods being traded internationally. Customs authorities use HS classification when applying tariffs, taxes, and other import rules.

An Inspection Certificate confirms that a vehicle has completed the required inspection by the relevant inspection agency. Once the inspection is complete, SAT Japan provides a PDF of the certificate through the vehicle tracking page where applicable.

The Port of Departure is the port where your vehicle begins its sea journey. The Port of Discharge is the destination port where the vehicle is unloaded from the vessel for collection or the next stage of delivery.

What does RoRo mean?

RoRo means Roll-on/Roll-off. It is a shipping method where vehicles are driven onto the vessel at the departure port and driven off after reaching the destination port. SAT Japan uses RoRo as one of its vehicle shipping methods, along with container shipping.

A Shipping Agent is a company or agency that handles shipping and cargo-related work at ports on behalf of a shipping company. They can help coordinate the vessel, cargo, documents, and other port procedures connected with a shipment.

A Surrender B/L means the original Bill of Lading has been handed back to the carrier, usually at the origin, so the cargo can be released at the destination without presenting that original document there. The carrier can then arrange an electronic or telex release where applicable.

A Telex Release allows the carrier to release cargo at the destination without the consignee presenting the original paper Bill of Lading there. It is normally used after the required original B/L has been surrendered and the carrier authorizes release electronically.
