All the vehicles imported from Japan must be Left-Hand Drive (LHD)

Inspection Policy

In Costa Rica, after importing a used car from Japan, you must have a working and current RITEVE inspection sticker on the car to legally travel on the roads. Ensure that the information you provide on a DUA is up-to-date and correct to avoid delays in the inspection process.

Import Duties and Taxes

Vehicles less than three years old are charged 52.29% import duty.

Vehicles four to five years old are charged 63.91% import duty.

Vehicles six years or older are charged 79.03% import duty.

Toyota COROLLA AXIO

My family loves this Toyota Esquire because it is spacious, quiet, and very comfortable during long journeys. I noticed one small paint chip near the sliding door, but it does not change my opinion about the vehicle.
