There is no age restriction over the shipment of automobiles to Cambodia. However, automobiles older than ten years are subjected to an extra import process, and there will be an extra penalty for importing them to Cambodia.
Import of left-hand drive vehicles is allowed in Cambodia.
Pre-shipment inspection is required on used automobiles imported into Cambodia. These inspections are carried out by authorized inspection bodies in the exporting country before the automobile is shipped. The purpose is to check the automobile's condition, specifications, and suitability.
Import tax is also applied to the automobile based on its value, engine size, and other factors.
