All the vehicles imported from Japan must be Right-Hand Drive (RHD)
In Dominica, no inspection is required for imported cars.
Import Duty: 40% of customs value.
Customs Service Charge (CSC): 3% of customs value.
Environmental Surcharges: $3,000 per unit for vehicles 5+ years old; 1% of customs value for vehicles under 5 years old.
Excise Tax: 28% of customs value + import duty + CSC (exemption for diplomats).
Value Added Tax (VAT): 15% of customs value + import duty + CSC + excise tax.
Registration and Proof of Ownership are required.
Import Duty for Gasoline Vehicles <1600cc & Diesel Vehicles <1500cc: 20% for vehicles <5 years old, 40% for vehicles 5+ years old.

I like companies that do not promise impossible things. SAT Japan explained both the strong points and the small imperfections before shipping my car. Because of that, there were no surprises after delivery. The Toyota Sienta is smooth, practical, and perfect for my daily family trips. I found one small stain on the rear floor mat, but cleaning it took only a few minutes. Everything else was in very good condition. The fuel economy is impressive and the engine feels healthy. I appreciate honest business more than fancy advertising, and SAT Japan proved they are a company customers can trust.
Many people told me importing a vehicle would be stressful, but my experience was the opposite. The Hiace is powerful, spacious, and suitable for transporting passengers comfortably. I noticed one tire has a little more wear than the others, so I may replace it soon, but this is normal maintenance for any used vehicle.
