Importation of right-hand drive vehicles is permitted in Singapore.
All imported cars must undergo inspection at an LTA-Authorized Inspection Centre and pass all necessary tests.
Used Car Surcharge: S$10,000.
Excise Duty: 20% of the OMV (customs value of the vehicle).
Goods & Services Tax (GST): 7% of the total cost, including insurance and freight, and Excise Duty.
Vehicles Emissions Scheme (VES) Surcharge: S$10,000 to S$20,000 depending on emissions.
Certificate of Entitlement (COE): Up to S$62,190.
Registration Fee: S$220.
Additional Registration Fee (ARF): 100% for the first S$20,000 of OMV, 140% for the next S$30,000, and 180% above S$50,000.
Original purchase invoice.
Freight and insurance papers.
Receipts for any other incidental charges.
Exhaust emissions test and windscreen test documents.
Original foreign vehicle registration documents (for used cars).
Letter from the manufacturer with the date the car was made.
